GET SPOOPY!

Last years Halloween page here on the ole Paintkiller website was initially jumpstarted by the initiative that Yesterweb put out into the indie web ether, but in the time since it seems like they have more or less been silent. There certainly isn't an event or project organized by them this year, that's for sure.

That's alright, though! 32-Bit Cafe has organized an amazing Halloween themed event and managed to partner up with a bunch of indie/small web names and creators for it. And that's where the majority of my focus lies with this years Halloween themed page here on my little ole website.

So I'll be adding bits and bobs to this page for this years Halloween based largely on that initiative. You should go check it out and get involved by hitting the link here.

Pocket Town didn't have a cemetery, so I found it to be my obligation to resolve that - especially since I used to bury people for a living, legitimately.

I made a new beverage for Halloween to be added to the Fizzy Vendor machine. "Punk-N-Guts Ale". Tastes like a dirty punk house venue and pumpkin spice.

I made a spooky Michael Myers themed bunny for the Bunny Garden pixel club.

Here's a Ghostrider and Grim Reaper inspired kitty for the Kitty Friends pixel club that I made for the spooky season.

Juice Bar is a recently established BBS set up my Pastellhell and Pomelo. It is largerly focused on all things pixel art, but extends further into indie/small/etc web, art, and related themes and topics. They had a contest for the halloween season to create a haunted house, with some guidelines. I didn't need to do pixel art, as the contest didn't require it. But I've been having such a blast the last couple months with pixel clubs and the Halloween event jump-started by 32-Bit Cafe that I couldn't help but do a pixel art piece for the contest. And here it is.
